The kitchen was somewhat functional - new faucets were being hooked up. All the old cabinets had been painted and items were replaced. However, all the doors on the new cabinets had to be built and painted that night prior to installation. When we left for the airport around 2 AM, all the doors had been built, primed and given one coat of paint. The drivers were going to need to finish the following day before they left! I can't believe I never got to see the finished product!
Installation of the fridges/stove/tables and new fixtures took place while we painted the room and the new cabinets that had been installed. The church meeting room was cleaned up of all our tools and arranged for the service that night!
This is what the kitchen and church meeting room looked like at 5:45 AM. We had a Good Friday Service planned for 6 PM that night. We had a lot of work to do!
While me and my team were finishing the tile in the kitchen floor another team worked the concrete projects. While the two car garage and the footer for the basement stair installation were the main projects, since we had some extra concrete we fixed a crumbling stair on the pump house and also reset a cell phone tower that had just fallen over within the past week. God's timing! :) All these projects were made even more fun by the blistering wind and sand storm that rolled in!
